BRANDING STRATEGY

Overview

This project involved a comprehensive rebranding for Corey Rise, a company focused on self-care, personal development, and guided meditation. The goal was to create a brand identity that resonated with individuals seeking empowerment, clarity, and resilience, aligning with the company’s mission to help people overcome stress and achieve personal sovereignty.



Problem

Corey Rise's previous branding, characterized by a serene and calming aesthetic, was not effectively attracting the target audience. The client sought a more dynamic and empowering approach that would inspire individuals to embrace personal growth and transformation.



Solution

To address these challenges, a comprehensive rebranding strategy was implemented. Key elements of the new brand identity included:

  • Color Palette: A vibrant combination of blue and orange was chosen to evoke feelings of clarity, energy, and resilience. Blue symbolizes peace and tranquility, while orange represents enthusiasm and vitality. The color names, though insignificant to the consumer facing part of the brand, were still given some thought. Color names such as "Clean Slate", "Sunglow",  “Iris”, and “Seasalt” further reinforce the brand's message.



  • Typography: Bold and dynamic fonts were selected to convey strength, determination, and empowerment. The typography complements the visual elements and enhances brand recognition.


  • Logo: A stylized flower was developed as the central brand icon. The sunflower's resilience and ability to thrive in challenging conditions resonate with the company's mission. The logo can be used as a versatile design element, functioning both independently or in conjunction with the wordmark. It can be incorporated into various applications, such as repeating patterns and background imagery for merchandise, gift certificates, packaging, social media posts, virtual session backgrounds or even office decor for in-person guided meditations. This versatile usage demonstrates the commitment to the brand identity, and reinforces a cohesive visual experience across all touchpoints.



  • Symbolism, Identity, and Messaging: With a focus on empowerment, clarity, and personal sovereignty, the choice of a stylized flower as the brand icon was not arbitrary. Flowers such as Sunflowers, Dandelions, and Cornflowers, while sometimes viewed as “weeds”, are also known for their resilience, beauty, ability to thrive in challenging environments, and even their medicinal benefits. This symbolism aligns perfectly with Corey Rise's mission to empower individuals to overcome adversity, develop a more positive self image, and achieve their greatest goals. The overall brand messaging emphasizes the transformative power of self-care and personal development.



Results

Since the rebranding, Corey Rise has experienced significant growth and success. The new brand identity has resonated with the target audience, leading to increased brand recognition, trust, and loyalty. As a result, the company has witnessed a surge in initial sales conversations and a higher rate of repeat customers. The new brand positioning has also opened up opportunities for expansion into new market segments, including subscription-based offerings for corporate clients. This expansion has enabled Corey Rise to tap into a lucrative market segment and diversify its revenue streams. By creating a brand identity that resonates with the target audience, the company has achieved, and will continue to achieve great things!
